Fighting for my right to make my own mistakes

In a world where words such as fairness and justice are open to interpretation I understand that such ideas can have varying meanings at varying degrees.

After all I think that earning a million dollars for merely waking up in the morning is “fair but it’s a pipe dream unless the value of a millions dollars downgrades to zilch.

What the Rich Think About the Poor

It Strikes Me as Odd — A Fable

Wikimedia Commons

Once upon a time in a place called Nowhere during the era of Ubiquity there were two women having tea and scones in an elegant and dainty café.

“It strikes me as odd that the color of money is green,” Aye Whole said as she put a piece of scone in her mouth.

“I think it would be much prettier if it were rainbow-colored don’t you?” said her friend Fallow Weir.

“No. As someone who has a lot of money, I can without a doubt say that money would be much more pleasantly held in my hand if it were a different color. Say the color of gold for the rich and brown for the poor.”

“Why brown for the poor?” Fallow asked stirring her tea.

“Because brown is the color of excrement,” replied Aye. “And everything the poor touches turns into excrement. And it should be gold for the rich because we have the Read more of this post

Random Thoughts from a Crazy Chick

CCC BadgeI trust the logic of my irrationality.

Sometimes I think that my dreams are true.

I still believe I’ll find “the one” even though I’ve been with a bunch of “no ones.”

Sometimes I eat dessert for breakfast.

If subversive thoughts were a crime, then I’d be serving a life sentence.

I want to throw garbage at reality stars walking the red carpet. Read more of this post

Insulting Blog Comments Make Me Wanna Rant

Angry chickThe other day, a commentator from another blog called me “immature” and “vapid.” This was because “said” blog  posted a “rebuttal” about one of my posts.

If you’re thinking why is Lafemme being so cryptic?

Well … let me just say that the post in reference had nothing to do with “schlong whackings” in fact it was a rather sweet post about a man’s love … investigative noodles will figure this out. Anyway, I was okay with the “immature” comment since I’ve always believed that I’m a “mental” 12 year old … my noodle just refuses to EVOLVE.

I've been 12 for decades!

BUT VAPID? First I didn’t know what the hell that word meant, but all I know is that I felt soooooo Read more of this post

Confessions of a Farmville Addict

If you’re on Facebook, then chances are that you’ve encountered Farmville. You’ve probably been invited by friends to play the game, seen feeds by friends sharing their bushels, water, seedlings and other goodies from that highly addictive game where you as the virtual farmer plant crops for coins and XP points.

I started playing Farmville about two years ago and three months into the game I was taken into the dark side of online games. I spent hours decorating my farm, harvesting and searching feeds to claim gift rewards. I watched video tutorials on how to create 3-D effects on my farm and I stalked the Farmville Forum to check out pictures of other farms.

It all seemed like a harmless
