The Mind Can be a Terrible Thing to Use

Humans are the most intelligent of all living beings. We invented the wheel, the printing press, the camera, the telephone, space travel, the internet and a multitude of other amazing feats that has elevated our world to where it is today (stop your eye rolling you cynical pessimists). But before us Homo sapiens get full of ourselves and our intelligence, please be reminded that we still have a long way to go. The mind is a highly fallible organ capable of malfunction when we least expect it. We’re still in the beta stage. You don’t believe me? Watch this: This is a good reason for prohibiting IQ challenged people from drinking. Note: Her parents must be so proud. If this has happened to you and you survived it, then be thankful that it wasn’t commemorated on video. A healthy mind is a healthy body. But the uncoördinated mind can be hazardous to your health. Keep watching for some “rip-roaring” chuckles. Be very afraid when you see our political leaders in various stages of brain freeze.   This classic is the ultimate proof that our supreme being needs to go back to the drawing-room and rethink the creation that is man. And what did you think about that? Lafemmeroar

My neighbour has this firm belief that the more education you have the less common sense you posses. I agree with her whole heartedly. I worked with her for a few years at her at-home-business and it seemed every summer I would do more and more things that showed a clear lack of any real common sense. It’s embarrassing, but at least I can admit it and laugh at myself. And some of those exercising accidents! Oh my, they looked painful.

More book sense rather than common sense … is that what a bookworm is? I’m 50/50 then 🙂 Oh I loved it when his bottom ripped. I played that bit over and over. lol I didn’t even think about the pain it caused them. You are a good person …

      • hollyjb says:

The ripping bottom was hilarious. Everyone looked like they were rubber bending all out of shape with the weights….I tend to wince and laugh at the same time at the physical pain of others….as long as it’s not lethal.

        • Lafemmeroar says:

Lethal isn’t funny. I was looking at vids on You Tube about pants ripping on the back and why is it that people’s bottom tend to look like bread dough?

I think it’s funny that after 4 comments in one thread it won’t let you reply anymore. And I don’t know….maybe it’s because they need to exercise…therefore they put on clothes that are too tight and move in ways they aren’t used to, so the clothes rip which exposes their bread dough bottoms? It’s a vicious circle.

  5. Hehe! Soooooo true! Glad I’m not alone in my thoughts!

Well … I see you were a Very equal opportunity razzer today. 😉

My hubby had to get up and come see what I was looking at with the political stuff. Now … I have to go cut more board.

I think there’s just a spectrum of people. The insanely smart, and the insanely stupid. And as we evolve, or devolve as the case may be, that net just gets cast wider and wider. So we will continue to get smarter. And stupider. 🙂

    • Lafemmeroar says:

You are so right it’s scary. The question is … what fills the void cast out by that net … reality television maybe …because the geniuses that came up with “Jersey Shore” will be credited with introducing Snooki into the world. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
