Crazy Chick Club Updates and New Poll

Hi Crazy Chicks,

I want to thank all the Crazy Chicks who have made this club so remarkable.  In just a few months, the club has grown and friendships have grown. We have a group where members support and celebrate diversity, creativity and each other’s quirkiness (we are crazy after all). Now that’s what social networking is all about!

Here’s an update of the Crazy Chicks Club:

We have 52 awesome members!

If you haven’t met our club mascot click here to meet Odie.

The CCC Fun Pics page would love to have more pics from you . If you’re a crafter, artist, cook/chef, photographer or you just have a fun pic to share, the CCC Fun Pics page would love to see your work.

Check out the vids on the CCC Fun Vids page. If you would like to share your own, email me the link and I’ll put it up on the page.

We have a CCC Fans page on the blog and so far one dude has signed up. So thanks Squammie and much luv to you. If you’re a dude and you think the CCC rocks, then please let me know if you’d like your link added to our fan page 🙂

You can get the CCC badge on your site. Members who have the badge have a little ♥ next to their link.

Finally an awesome CC and friend Hollyjb sent me some fun hairstyle pics. I have included her description of the hairstyle next to the pic. Holly looks adorable! I’m also putting up a poll at the end of this post where you can vote for the hairstyle you like the most. We all need to give Holly some big luv for being such an awesome CC!

Pic 1: “This braid starts just above my left temple and is French braided (upside down, I forget the actual name) to my neck, left side. The braid is then finished normally and pinned on top of my head to create a wreath-like effect. It’s nice, cool for hot weather, and gets my hair out of my way for work!”

Pic 2--Back View

Pic 2: “This is all curled with a flat iron. The front view. I just pinned a little section on each side back, but under other hair. Bobby pins are your friends! I know my bangs look funny….I had cut them myself a few weeks before this.”

Pic 3

Pic 3: “My Mom has been corn rowing my hair since I was at least 4. In the last 10 years or so I’ve started doing it myself. Well, the top anyway! Sometimes I just go straight back, sometimes I like to try and change it up like in this photo. This time I made the braids pop. Mostly I try and make them as small as possible so they stay in longer (my record is 20 from ear to ear), but then I look bald! Again, it’s nice for the summer when I don’t have to worry about hair in my face, but the rest of my hair can be down or whatever. Great for the beach or cottage.”

Pic 4

Pic 4: “This is a style I will never wear in public, but I had wanted to try it. It’s one braid and the only pins are the very end in the centre of my head. It starts like the other one just above my left temple. Then it just winds around and around all attached to my head. It was difficult and looks really messy because I have layers.”

Pic 5

Pic 5: “This is a braid I saw on YouTube. It’s called a waterfall braid and this particular one goes from one side of your face to the other. All one braid. You can take the hanging end of the braid and twist/pin it into a flower if you want. That’s what I did for Adeline for a wedding they went to that day. This was my first time trying this braid on myself and the back and other side droop really bad!”

Winning hairstyle will be featured on the CCC Fun Pics page 🙂

    Hi,
I love some of the different braids you have used, but I voted for number 2, I know this is more for the evening look, but I feel it definitely looks very nice.

  2. hollyjb says:

People often ask me if it’s difficult to corn-row the top of my head like that….the answer is yes, but not as hard as doing it on other people. I’ve been doing it on myself so long that my hands are used to it that way. When I try to do it on other people my knuckles get in the way!

  3. kdaddy23 says:

I just love a woman with long hair…

  4. Cinnamon says:

    I voted number 2 also.

    huggies and kissies..lol

  5. You can put a little heart beside my name–I have the CCC emblem on my site!

    Thanks for the updates, Laff!

  6. mooselicker says:

I think Crazy Chicks are the last group that everybody enjoys. Kudos for bringing them all together!

  7. sparkylaurie says:

Hey! what a great idea! Frankly, all of them are simply fantastic and each has its own unique benefits as she has rightly pointed out, but I think I liked pic 5 best. Reasons: 1) Holly’s hair being of the silky straight nature, it really does fall like a waterfall and she should take full advantage of that 2)I think letting the hair loose with the stylish braid in place actually is more sophisticated.;)

      @sparkylaurie

I hereby appoint you the official CC hairstyle analyst 🙂 Love your comment.

    • hollyjb says:

I grew up with a mother who always made sure our hair was in place, out of our eyes. If we had bangs they were always kept trimmed. Now I general don’t like hair around my face, but I’m getting used to it. It does suit me better as I have a very round face :S. ^_^

      And yes, CC hair analyst!

  8. Love the last one, so cute!!!

  9. Aurora says:

I love 2 and 5 is my very fave partly because of the name. Thanks LFR and thanks, Holly, you are both awesome good fun 🙂 Can’t wait to see what MD chooses (evilnymphstuff), she’s such a fashionista with great taste and thoughts, I’m sure she’ll enjoy this one.

My hair kind of does what it wants and I just live under it but I wish I could get it to do some of the beautiful things yours does, Holly. I even bought a straightener, big fail, I can’t use the thing properly, LOL Did I ever tell you I am technologically stunned, lol. Thanks for the fun, CC’s 🙂

    • Lafemmeroar says:

Thanks for voting. Now if you want to share some of your crazy pics you know where to send them 🙂

    • hollyjb says:

I know that I am fortunate with my hair. I haven’t ruined it with colour or ironing like my sister! Straighteners are tricky at first. It took me an uber long time to learn how to curl my hair with a flat iron! If some day we ever meet, I’ll straighten your hair for you ;).

  10. Wow lovely hairstyles! 😀 I love the 5th one – reminds me of fairytales and princesses, the overall of my childhood. 🙂

  11. The T says:

wow a white girl with corn rows… damn that is sexy… I shoulda got a look of a frontal view since some girls can pull it off and some girls well…umm… sooo…shoes?

A lot of great variety you can do with your hair! Tres chic and stuff!

    T.

    • hollyjb says:

That’s why I only showed the top. I can’t really pull them off (super round face and all) and every summer I say I’m not going to put them in, but every summer I give in. I only did it this time because my Mom suggested it saying that I can pull them off…..I tend to follow her blindly sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes, lol. It depends on how the hair lies at the end of the braid….this time the sides near my ears popped out a bit and looked funny :S. I liked the top though, lol.

But hey, if you’re camping or going to swimming a lot it’s very convenient.

  12. I’ll join your crazy chicks club. But I refuse to get the operation or wear a dress.

  13. Bodhirose says:

Wow, Holly, you are so talented with your hairstyles! I love the intricate braid in Pic 1 and your hair looks beautiful, soft and shiny in Pic 2–very nice hair! I wish you could come over and show me a thing or two…
