Ha! Reminds me of the jerk – “Kids today. They don’t want to start at the bottom and work their way up. They want to start at the top and work their way sideways.”

I don’t know which I am. Which category is for those who work so they have enough money to go out and play?

    • Lafemmeroar says:

You know how some people say “Will work for food”? Well … you’ll “Work so you can PLAY” 🙂 I know that I’m definitely not a TOP! 😦 Oh well … at least I know that I earn “my keep.” 🙂

    • I agree, they want to enter a job and make the top bucks. We are talking about working here, right, because your post although poignant and serious, can be taken so many different ways, from this twisted noodle 😉

  2. ericmvogt says:

    I like Bottoms better… 😀

  3. Tori Nelson says:

This one’s tricky. I do a lot of work. My boss is three and has a tendency to poop his pants. I’ve yet to get a paycheck. Now that I’ve written that down I’m thinking I have a pretty solid case for a lawsuit 🙂

  4. ctoby says:

As a Mindless Drone I have observed, up close and personal-like, the Peter Principle in action: Managers rise to the level of their INcompetence and stay there. Personally I’d rather be a bottom, though I still prefer Mindless Drone–so much more…demure 🙂 pfffft!

  5. I once had a client in Atlanta, every afternoon there was a guy at the freeway entrance with a sign that said “Not going to lie, want money for Beer”. I always gave him a $5. I loved him!

Don’t know what I am, I work for three things, pay the bills, save enough to retire, take good vacations.

  6. Always a bottom, but I think our accomplishments are that much more rewarding because of how hard we have to work. Not to mention, Mathair and I have always believed in a natural balance, an order to world. For those of us on bottom, there will come a time when we rise, but for the top dogs the fall is that much harder.

  7. I think people who feel that kind of arrogance with their privilege are really missing the boat–so they are in every way but materially on the bottom. When it comes to matters of the heart and soul–the important stuff in the grand scheme, arrogance bankrupts those “top dogs.”

  8. Well, at this time of my life I guess I’m on top! I’m retired from a job I loved, now only do fun things! Read, review, and volunteer at the library. What could be better????

  9. SillyG says:

I often say I am at the bottom of the top. This is the worst place to be which is the worst place to be…. all the shit stops there!

  10. Kelly says:

I kind of like both depends on my mood lol but mostly the bottom 🙂

  11. As with so many things, I’m a bit lost so I don’t really know where I am. As long as there are people like you around, who either make me laugh or smile, I don’t really care about how expensive the crisps I can afford are.

    • Lafemmeroar says:

You know when you say crisps I can’t help but think of Marco Pierre White … he’s my fav (although I hear he’s sort of controversial there?) Anyway, if I were to ever eat eggs again, it would be the eggs in his fish pie recipe. OMG I made it once and every mouthful was a “sea of heaven” … I mean what’s not to like! It has all my favs … cream, potatoes, eggs seafood and dabs of butter if I feel naughty. I want to make that this Christmas, but I need to figure out a good replacement for eggs … tofu? I don’t think so even though I love the stuff, but not in fish pie. OMG I”m salivating now. See what you’ve done? And this comment is waaaaaay longer than my post! 🙂

  12. haaaa, you are talking about during sex, right? Xx

    Have a great Holiday xx

  13. Patti Kuche says:

Hmmm, perhaps Ray Elbe, the Ultimate Fighter, might be happier on top AND working harder in the future . . .

  14. Phil Gayle_For Singles and Couples says:

    I’m somewhere in between honey.
Lol! I love reading your comments with your friends…you guys always digress running off on tangents…great stuff. 🙂
A big hug and respectful kiss on the cheek to you Lafem. x
I hope you and yours have a great Christmas break.:-D

    • Lafemmeroar says:

Have a Merry Holiday Phil and the best to you and your family! 🙂 And BTW … there’s nothing better than a respectful kiss on the cheek from a friend! Thank you so much 🙂
