ME

I reveal my soul and my thoughts except for my identity to protect the guilty. If you’re a single woman out there and I do mean out there who’s wondering what the hell happened to my life, then WELCOME to my world!

Since I have no voice in the real world, I decided that the “safest” way to rant and rave for the sake of my sanity is to write it down here with the hopes that I find other kindred souls out there who identify and appreciate what I have to say.

So, thank you for reading this and I hope you come back for more.

  2. Ed Williams says:

I’m not single, and I’m not a woman so how did I get here?
LOVE your style. Keep writing with that twist. ; )

    • Lafemmeroar says:

Thanks. I’m glad someone appreciates what I have to say. I’m not always kind to men in my articles, but I’m an equal opportunity criticizer. Come back soon.

  3. Alexandra says:

    Oh, am loving your blog.

Followed you over from your hilarious comment at Anna Leffler’s….FUNNY HUMOROUS…what else could I want? Everything I love in a blogger here.

  4. Nina says:

The blog is funny and witty!! I happened to randomly read one post and love it and now am spending the rest of my time reading other posts.
If being single and studying English literature could let me write like this one day – well, YAY =)!

    • Lafemmeroar says:

You have made my day!!!!!!!! Thank you so much. And “my dear” you are well ahead of me when I was 18. At that age all I thought about was what I was going to wear the next day, which classes I’d skip, and if I was going to fight with my boyfriend or not. Silly girl … silly days … good memories.

  5. Okay, you know I had to pop by and see who dropped by my blog. Well, hello! We have something else in common other than the getting-buzzed-is-a-good-thing. Both of us also gave ourselves a voice with our blogs. I, however, recently came out of the closet and introduced myself to everyone. SCARY! Ah well…I’m kicking ass, taking names, and holding no prisoners. I’m getting to old for that shit. I’m going to have to circulate and read some of your stuff. Thanks for popping by my place!

  6. jaerae1971 says:

You’re such a good writer….I think I’m becoming addicted to your blog. LOVE IT!!

  7. sparkylaurie says:

Exactly my thoughts when I joined the blog….a voice and kindred spirits….out of curiosity, what does lafemmeroar actually mean?

    • Lafemmeroar says:

This might be another brainstorming discussion lolol.
la femme (woman/feminine traits) roar (big mouth).
I try to curtail my mouth in life, but it’s difficult so I need a place to roar.
Yes, I’m seeking out kindred spirits. While we’re all unique I believe we have the common desire for laughter or the need to laugh. I hope so 🙂

  8. Boop da Boop! Hi!!! I see you bouncing around the community so I thought I would come by and say hiiiii (after of course reading your interview with Ruthie). So, anyway, I am Jenna @ We’re Jumpin’ and I have subscribed to your blog 🙂 I will be back to read more… ttfn

  9. i have just subscribed to your blog and look forward to going through and reading more of your posts. You are a fantastic writer. x

You’re too good to me married!
Your blog seems lovely. Sorry for not being helpful.

  12. DewNestry says:

I think wanting to grow old with my friends is my least crazy quality. But if you say so, I’d never protest.

    Hey Lady,
I always enjoy reading your stuff. I check in every so often, sometimes for a laugh and sometimes to get some inspiration for my own writing. Thank you for being true to yourself. It is a rare quality that many people claim and few actually practice, like street smarts or not caring what other people think. Thanks again for keeping us interested and entertained.
    Sincerely, john

    • Lafemmeroar says:

It’s a struggle being true to my self, but my most important relationship is with me after all. I always intend to give entertaining chuckles, but if I can throw in some inspiration then that’s a plus. Your comment has made my day 🙂

  15. Thanks for swinging by my blog and commenting. I’m a married gal, but am loving your blog.

  16. moofiefate says:

Here’s a married boy (in the soul, at least)…in some ways, so not your reader… but I love your posts and your style–. So funny and true.

Thanks for sharing and kicking ass!!!! ❤

    • Lafemmeroar says:

      @moofiefate

Aw thank you so much. I try to stay true to my “vision” of the world and hope that it somewhat aligns with readers. BTW, you don’t have to be single to read my blog … you just have to be open and ready for chuckles 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Sometimes I doubt what I’m doing here on WP, but when I get comments I remember that I began this because I wanted to connect with others. Okay, I’m “anonymous” but I’m glad that I entertain a bit and I’m glad that I’ve gotten to meet so many other bloggers and readers who really have enriched my “digital life.”

  17. Although I am finally married at this point in time, I do miss those single days! Living alone and being single were the best years of my young life. I am happy now, but its important for women to enjoy their single lives because once they are over, you miss them to peices!

  18. Hi there Lafem. I am nominating you for ‘The Versatile Blogger Award’ I am not sure if you have won it before. But if there ever was a blogger that fit the bill for Versatile, you have got to be it!

You probably know the award comes with a whole ‘your mission if you choose to accept it…’ routine

Check out the latest post on Slaves for the dope

  19. alanschuyler says:

Well I guess you are TOO Popular because I did the same! I always look forward to reading your blog, and in that spirit I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. Details are in my post at http://wp.me/p1EiAO-cf Following the award guidelines, the post includes the other nominees that I feel are a must read and a little bit about their blogs. At the end of the post are the instructions for picking up your award and a graphic suitable for framing, if you have a teeny tiny frame.

Note: As an extra bonus, there’s a picture of me in the post when I was a Catholic Altar Boy. It’s a convenient wallet sized photo ready to print and carry as a constant reminder of how life can go oh so horribly wrong.

    • Lafemmeroar says:

      @Alanschuyler

Oh thank you zoo fun for nominating me. I’m honored that you thought of me. I’m going to follow the rules of the award, but I think that I’m going to do something a bit different as well … after all I’ll try to live up to the award and be versatile 🙂 Oh I need to see you as a Catholic Altar Boy. Why did life go wrong after being an altar boy? Maybe God punished you for eating the communion wafers? 🙂

      • alanschuyler says:

@Lafemm, Life went wrong in the sense that the little altar boy started to question the world and question authority. It was mostly wrong from their viewpoint, not mine. It was very right for me. If I was punished it was for drinking the sacramental wine and building little campfires in the sacristy with the incense cubes! Good times!

  20. trjensen says:

Added a link to you in my latest post and on my blogroll. My readers will love you!

  24. sparkylaurie says:

Hi Lafeme something I came across and just wanted to share: “Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” – Think Different, narrated by Steve Jobs

  25. sparkylaurie says:

Here’s the link with narration by Steve Jobs you may upload it in videos if you like it.

  26. Zoe @ Pantry and Fridge says:

    Hello There!

Thanks for stopping by Shadows of Love. You have LOADS for me to check out. I will be back. Judging from all the comments your posts generate, it seems that this is the place to be.

    • Lafemmeroar says:

      Hi Debbie,

I’ve been blogging for about six months and it’s been wonderful. I have the most funny and interesting readers. Their comments are even funnier than my posts. 🙂 Lots of diversity going on here …

  33. Androgoth says:

I am just calling by to thank you for taking the time
to read and click on the like option in my Space, you
are welcome to call by again and offer your thoughts
on any of my Scripts and extra pages 🙂

I will be calling back here again soon, and in the
meantime I will take the opportunity of adding you
to my blogroll, don’t worry if I don’t click to follow
you as I hardly follow anyone, indeed I simply use
my blogroll to visit everyone that I can, and my
reasoning for not clicking on the follow option is
that WordPress have a fetish for sending e mails
on everyone that posts anything, and this way
helps to cut down on the many e mails I receive…

I am sorry for waffling on, but
just wanted you to know that…

Have a lovely Tuesday my friend 🙂

    Androgoth

  53. 10000movies says:

Hello there! First of all thanks for visiting 10000movies. Although I am not a woman, I find many things in common. Keep sharing your thoughts 🙂
    Take care

    • Lafemmeroar says:

Thank you! I will keep on being a Crazy Chick who laughs at the malfunction of the universe. Since you have a movie site … my two fav movies are “Persona” and “A Christmas Story” … pretty opposite I know, but that’s just how my noodle rolls 🙂

      • 10000movies says:

Better to laugh at than to cry for as pointed out! “Persona” is indeed an amazing movie. I dunno how I missed “A Christmas Story”! Will check it out! Thanks 🙂

        • Lafemmeroar says:

OMG I’m a film freak, but “A Christmas Story” is the quintessential holiday movie for me 🙂 Just an FYI on some of my fav films …

Open Range: I’m not much for westerns, but Kevin Costner really achieved something great in this film. I think the film is highly under-rated in the western genre. The writing, cinematography we stellar–the camera angles and many of the shots seemed like an homage to “Citizen Kane” …

Damage: Jeremy Irons is the only guy who can play such a dark role …

Lars and the Real Girl: Where can you see a movie that makes a “sex doll” endearing?

The Moderns: This one is soooo stylishly sexy with a tongue in cheek flair …

Raise the Red Lantern: Simply stunning and tragic

This is the shoooooort list …. real short, but thought I’d share. 🙂

          • 10000movies says:

Well, I am a film freak too 🙂
A post in 10000movies amounts to one fifth of the movies I see. You know how it is: sometimes, the mood to post is not there…It should be a joy and not an obsession after all 🙂
By sharing your short list you gave me an idea…
            Will get back 🙂

            • Lafemmeroar says:

OMG … that list in NOOOOOT EVEN INDICATIVE OF MY TWISTED NOODLE. We should play a game … of this somehow! 🙂

One of my fav docs is “Let’s Get Lost” have you ever heard of it? Saw it eons ago … it was me and six other people in the theater … I think you can see it on You Tube now.

  54. Phil Gayle_For Singles and Couples says:

Hope you enjoyed that meal last night…it did make me hungry. 😉

    • Lafemmeroar says:

For the next two days I will be busy planning on what I will bring to my brother’s for Thanksgiving: vegan chocolate cupcakes, stuffed mushrooms, hummus, and the yam/kale/mushroom dish. I’ll probably have some turkey … one thing for sure is that I know I’m gonna be having me some BOOZE!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

  55. RAMU DAS says:

Just like you, even I don’t have voice in the real world, for when I raise my voice I’m compelled to suppress it. Thanks to all the entrepreneurs who have created such a thing called ‘blog’. Otherwise our life would have been very difficult.

You have a nice page 🙂

  56. Buttafly says:

    I don’t remember how I got here.
But I know I have to stay tuned ..we’re on the same wavelenght:)

    • Lafemmeroar says:

Hi Buttafly! It’s late on my side of the world, but I’m so glad that you want to stay tuned … I know you won’t mind the ramblings of my twisted noodle … if you’re a chick and you’re crazy, then you should join my club! 🙂

  57. Nice to meet you too Lafemmeroar … and show me a woman who hasn’t wanted to rant away… 🙂

    Wishing you a beautiful Day …. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by my http://www.quirkybooks.wordpress.com blog. I love my single life. I am very romantic and every year I celebrate being single on Valentine’s day. You can read past posts about it on my blog. I also go away to London a lot on my own. I date myself, take myself out for meals and to the cinema, and love my life. There is a post on my blog about – do you date yourself?
