Being an Equal Opportunity Blogger

I needed to post this again for my new readers … 🙂

I was with my friend the other night and I showed her my blog. She cruised the site and said your blog seems biased against men. So I said it is? And she said yeah, and she read out loud some of my blog titles:

5 Ways to Repel a Man

Sticking a Poker on the Groper

The MILF and  the M.I.L.K. (you’d have to read it to understand)

The Crying Adulterer

Quotes from a M.I.L.K.

and so on …

You haven’t read the full posts I said. I don’t have to she said and used the example of “The Crying Adulterer.”  What about it I said. Well, not all men cheat she said. So I said what makes you so sure I was talking about a man (I was of course). Because most people think that they do she said.

So I thought about her logic. While she knew that not all men cheat she assumed a universal truth that everyone else thought that men did cheat. Was I like the everybody else she had in “her mind”? You need to be more impartial with the sexes she said. So I told her that I did write a post about femme fatales. She clicked on the article and actually read it. Okay, she said, but that’s one article so you see you need to balance it out.

Then I thought this is my blog, I can spew out anything I want because in my life, where everything is out of my control, the articles I tattoo on the blogosphere is what ever I want it to be. But I also know that this is a diverse world and I am a diverse thinker (a little crazy … a lot HONEST). She’s right. I do need to be more impartial (I’ll try) and diverse (definitely). Moreover, my thoughts aren’t restricted to men and women. I think about a lot of things such as:

Why do paper cuts exist?

Why do I love Haagen Dazs so much?

What would I do if I could re-write my favorite movie quotes?

What’s in my bucket list?

Aren’t I too young to have a bucket list?

Would racism stop if aliens invaded us?

Why do I look so spastic when I play Guitar Hero?

Why is the line at Starbucks always so long and the  barristas always so slow?

Why does a venti caramel macchiato cost so much?

Why does the grocer always ask for a price check when I buy feminine products?

Do people really have a sick sixth sense?

Why do we only use 10% of our brain? If that?

What would the world be like if we used 100% of our brain?

How just is the justice system?

Is there free will?

Is Elvis still alive?

Are there fairies?

Why can’t we all just get along?

Dear readers (those who’ve subscribed, commented, liked and those lurking in the blogosphere) I am an equal opportunity critic, observer and ruminator of the sexes and everything else. There will be days when I rant, days when I go “hmmm,” and days when I have such insights (crossing my finger) that I will surprise even myself. This blog is a work in progress as am I … give me time … give me time.

This is fun to read and insightful, too. I would very much like to read about fairies from you. Maybe on one of your hmmmm days, no?

  2. So are too shaky in their own thoughts to risk someone thinking from a different angle….and some have too short attention span to focus longer than 3 sentences…and some have no sense of humor…what fun is that? write with rant!

  3. Erick... ya you know me.... :) says:

why did Kamikaze pilots wear helmets??? I like the questions !!! 🙂

    • Lafemmeroar says:

I don’t know Erick … but that fashion statement is “fatally flawed.” 🙂

    • MJ says:

Kamikaze pilots didn’t wear helmets, just insulated flight caps. High altitude flights are chilly whether you’re crash landing on an enemy warship or crash landing in the ocean, as most kamikaze pilots did.

  4. renxkyoko says:

Well, I do think cheaters are 90% men. They deserve the reputation. Hmmmph.

  5. MJ says:

The most beautiful thing about the internet, other than the free porn, is the fact that any baseless, idiotic, unfiltered drivel that comprises the general public’s opinions can be made available for all to see. If you want to spew anti-male rhetoric, the internet makes for a fantastic outlet and speech is still moderately free. Spew on!

  6. I always love your posts, old or new, but lets face it, in among the talk of bias came the important question, “Will racism stop if Aliens invade us ?” Will we live long enough to find out I wonder. And am I holding my fork correctly, regardless of my sex and culture. You’ve really got me thinking now 🙂

  7. Your crazy noodle is a beautiful conundrum, Lafemme. And we are so dearly happy to get these peeks inside of it. Mathair and I have often wondered, (Oddly Enough) if racism would stop should aliens invade, whether or not there are fairies, and why we love Haagen Dazs so freaking much. LOL. Perhaps Haagen Dazs is made from Aliens who put an addictive chemical in it?! And, they’re waiting to invade and take all of the Haagen Dazs lovers as slaves for their new world? 😉

  8. Why change what works? Or stream of consciousness sometimes works but why?

    • Lafemmeroar says:

It’s hard to change … if it works then keep doing it … but I do like to ruminate on things because I always keep the option to change my mind … 🙂

  9. that I will surprise even myself.

This happens all the time with me – I have no idea from whence come the cartoon ideas most of the time.

  10. We’re all a work in progress. Blogs are our way. … well, for some of us …. to express thoughts about just about anything in order to relax and grow into the being we supposedly want to be. What is that being ???
    Who the hell knows !!!!

    • Lafemmeroar says:

Blogging is wonderful. Without it I would have never met fellow crazy chicks and I would never get a chance to rant about the chaotic realities of life. 🙂

You can only do you. You perspective is the slant that draws the readers. Not all men cheat and I’d like to think the 20% of them I think don’t…Well, they probably do but I really wanna think positive.
